Pure Hemp Botanicals Review
By Amie B.
Updated March 9, 2022
Pure Hemp Botanicals earned an overall score of 43% based on the scores earned in the following rating categories:
80% in Trust and Transparency mainly for a return policy that doesn’t put consumers first and then being misleading about it.
90% in Ingredients for using natural ingredients, overall.
0% in Lab Testing because of a wide range of “deal-breaker” problems.
0% in Product Safety because I wasn’t able to verify that any of the lab testing is valid.
- Pure Hemp Botanicals has been in business since 2015.
- Products include tincture oil drops, softgels/capsules, gummies, topicals, pet CBD, and more.
- Broad-spectrum and full-spectrum CBD formula products are available
- Prices are very low with an average cost of $0.05 per milligram of CBD (what should it cost?).
- Free ground shipping for orders over $75.00. On orders less than $75.00 within the U.S., it’s a flat rate of $4.99.
- There’s a rewards program where you earn one point for every $1.00 you spend. Five points is good for $1.00 toward store credit, and it’s possible to earn bonus points.
- With the subscription program you’ll save 25% and get free shipping. Unfortunately, there’s no additional info telling what the cancellation policy is, etc.

Trust and Transparency
How straightforward and trustworthy is this company?
There’s a badge all over the website that says “100% satisfaction guaranteed” but this is misleading (screenshot). The return policy fine print says you can only get a refund for unopened/unused products (screenshot).
Given the very lengthy page dedicated to discussing the Pure Hemp Botanicals mission of “compassion in action – through a passion for hemp,” it was a real surprise that they don’t have an assistance program.
Interested in what people are saying about Pure Hemp Botanicals?
- Oddly, despite being in business since 2015, I can’t find a single product review on the Pure Hemp Botanicals website.
- On Trustpilot they don’t have any reviews.
- With the Better Business Bureau (BBB) they have an A+ standing but aren’t accredited, there aren’t any reviews, and there haven’t been any complaints.
Ingredients
Are they natural and high-quality?
Pure Hemp Botanicals uses natural ingredients except for the Body Lotion, Cool Gel Roll-On, and the Immune Tablets.
A few mild additional active ingredients are added to some products such as vitamin C, and melatonin being the strongest thing. Unlike what most other CBD companies have started dumping into products, these additives pose little to no risk of side effects and they are all in reasonable amounts (why this is a big deal screenshot).
Products are organized in the categories of: Balance (CBD is the only active ingredient), Sleep (CBN – a cannabinoid like CBD – and melatonin are added), Relief (topical products with menthol, peppermint and things along those lines), and Immune (vitamin C and zinc added).
Lab Testing
Is there Certificate of Analysis (COA) lab testing?
Here are few of the many problems:
For starters, it’s a hassle to find specific lab results.
One deal-breaker is the lack of a product identification photo in the results. Labs take a photo of whatever they actually performed the testing on, and include it in their report. This photo is the only way for consumers to verify that testing was for the correct and final product (what you actually use).
None of the Pure Hemp Botanicals lab testing results that I reviewed include a photo. Check out my Top-3 Red Flag Reasons for why any CBD oil company may choose to withhold an identification photo from consumers, in my experience (see screenshot).
Some products are only tested for heavy metals (e.g. Lead) and microbial contamination (bad bacteria) while testing is skipped for mycotoxins (fungi/mold), foreign matter (e.g. hair, dirt), residual solvents (e.g. Ethanol), and pesticides (why it’s a red flag screenshot). Yikes.
Product Safety
What are the results of the COA lab testing?
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to evaluate product safety without verifiable lab reports. Safety first.
Best Products
CBD Truth Finder can’t recommend products from unranked companies and I’m in no way affiliated with Pure Hemp Botanicals. That being said, I’ve found the following to be their best CBD oil products (what this is based on):

- They are available in 10mg, 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg each.
- There are no unnecessary ingredients.
- The Pure Balance full-spectrum CBD Gummies are 15mg each and come in a 450mg bottle.
